The Regal Experience
Start time:
25th April 14:30
Finish time:
25th April 17:00
Venue:
The Old Wymondham Regal
Description:
The charming and amusing Whistle Down the Wind is the Regal Experience Group?s next classic offering at the Old Wymondham Regal, now part of the local Ex-Services? Club. The show will be on Sunday 25th April (2.30pm).
The film, which stars Alan Bates and Hayley Mills, tells the story of three children, living at a remote Lancashire Farmhouse, who believes that a murderer on the run is Jesus. Extremely well made in 1961, it was directed by Bryan Forbes and produced by Richard Attenborough - a great British team.
Diane Holgate, who played one of the children Nan Bostock, will be travelling from Lancashire to make a personal appearance at the screening and talk about the making of the movie.
The supporting short film Down at the Local was made in 1945 and takes a nostalgic look at pub life at that time.
Tickets for the show are available from Maureen Dodman (tel: 01953 605593) or Michael Armstrong (tel: 01953 603246) and at the Wymondham Heritage Museum.
